Then I had the thought that other people may enjoy these videos and I started putting them on YouTube. Well, I need to arrange the piano, contra-bass and jazzy drums, I will play the jazz guitar and sing. I was playing with backing tracks and didn’t want to rely on a physical songbook for chords and lyrics. And I love it! Everyday, playing my guitar and singing brings me joy and relief from the stresses and strains of daily life.Ī Few years ago, I started making play-along videos to take to my gigs. I have always just played to accompany myself singing. I have never played the guitar for playing the guitar’s sake. I am what would be considered a “campfire” guitarist. Everyone has it in them, whatever their level of expertise. I believe that everyone can enjoy making music.
